A communication tool for school and parents
National Heritage Academies (NHA) prepares kids for college starting on day one. By setting high standards, making expectations clear, and personalizing teaching, their students thrive.
NHA hired me as a Contract Senior Product Designer for their communication app — the NHA app. The NHA app is designed to serve as a valuable resource for parents and administrators, allowing them to efficiently access student schedules, stay informed of school-wide announcements, and receive timely information through both the app and the opportunity to communicate with parents.
The following case study showcases the work I completed over 4 months.

The strategy
Building on insights gathered from user research, I focused on creating architecture, user flows, and wireframes for the NHA app that kept the core needs and pain points of users at the center of my design decisions. My goal was to align the experience with the key takeaways from the research while preserving the integrity of National Heritage Academy’s established branding, copy, and UI features.
Image above shows the first iteration of the app architecture.
Wireframes
As I developed the high-fidelity wireframe, I worked to address design opportunities and ensure the app’s structure would support a seamless and intuitive user experience.
By doing so, I aimed to craft a solution that not only meets user needs but also integrates smoothly with the Academy’s visual identity and functional requirements.
